Anyway it's nice to see US players QQ about lag from EU players. The tables have turned.
Now I'm going to troll every lag thread by saying that the players experiencing lag are ''just bad'' and that ''there's no such thing as lag'' whilst ignoring blatant facts like ping and also ignoring basic mathematics.
remember! If you get owned by someone who has a better connection than you AND is 5000 miles closer to the server than you, you're just bad!
1st off the usa has some of the worst internet speeds and prices
exp me 2.8 MB download and 614 kb upload DSL and i live in New York state
when i lived in tacoma in WA when i was in the army i had 20 MB download and 18 upload but only got 10 MB and 2 MB do to the everyone els running off comcast as well and thats cable .
2nd when a troll wants to lag a server he uses a lag switch A lag switch is a mechanism installed on a home network that allows you to insert delays into the flow of local traffic to the Internet. Lag switches are normally used by unscrupulous players wanting to cheat at online video games. Lag switches are unrelated to normal network switches
Operation of a Lag Switch
When the switch is activated, the device is designed to function for a few seconds on a timer, effectively blocking all network traffic between the local game device and the Internet temporarily. Used during gameplay, the device causes the person using a lag switch to appear to opponents as frozen while in fact they are still able to play locally and gain advantages in the game. When the lag switch timer expires, the local game device will resynchronize with the online game that appears to opponents in a sudden burst
the same can be done if you live far a way from the server in wich the server will try to slow down the upload and down load for that play but cusses lag for the rest of the players in the game as there speed is being slowed down then add the ping
3rd i know this works cus iv done it my self in CSS anf in dust 514 by joining EU severs and you all say the same thing as we do when you join are servers .
for the ones that dont know to move from server to server to need to party up with a host whos server you want to join.
if you want to lag the game be for the game starts have him make you host .
